Life Path Calculator
Enter your birth date below. We will reduce it through the classical Pythagorean steps and explain each move, including any master numbers we preserve.
How the Life Path is calculated
The Life Path Number is the most widely known of the numerology numbers, and it is also the most straightforward to compute. The method below is the classical Pythagorean reduction with master numbers preserved.
- Reduce the month. January is 1, October is 1+0=1, November is 1+1=11 (kept), December is 1+2=3.
- Reduce the day. The 29th becomes 2+9=11 (kept). The 22nd is kept as 22. The 30th becomes 3+0=3.
- Reduce the year. 1987 → 1+9+8+7 = 25 → 2+5 = 7.
- Add the three results and reduce one more time, again preserving 11, 22, or 33.
Why the master numbers stay intact
Most totals reduce to a single digit between 1 and 9. But three numbers — 11, 22, and 33 — are considered "master vibrations" in the modern Western tradition: doubled digits whose intensity is judged great enough to keep them in their two-digit form. A person whose calculation produces a 22 is not simply a 4 (2+2); they are a 22, charged with a particular calling that the simple 4 reading would miss.
